Who are you and how would you describe your music to those who have never heard of you?
Hello! We are Allusinlove from Leeds – we make our very own special blend of psychedelic rock and pop music – it is music to fall in love to, music to lose your shit to, music to unite to and music that will heal you.
How were you formed?
Most of us had been in previous bands before and all members were aware of each other in their respective music scenes around the Yorkshire area – Allusinlove was formed by Jason, Drey and Connor with a desire to be the best band we could possibly be.
Where does the name come from?
Allusinlove is a word that is derived from our old band name ‘Allusondrugs’ – we changed the name for obvious reasons! Allusinlove can be translated to ‘always in love’ as the word ‘allus’ is Yorkshire slang for ’Always’
Where do you get your inspiration?
Inspiration can come from anything and it can arrive when you least expect it. Songs are an excellent vehicle for getting feelings out so if we feel like we need to do that, wether it’s positive or negative, we will – but usually intense situations in our lives will inspire us to make songs.
What are the ambitions with the band?
We want to make a body of work that stands the test of time and forever keeps us proud until we die. We also want our music to help and inspire people.
Describe your best gig;
Download festival 2015 was the best show we have ever played. We shared a moment with our crowd that year that we will never forget. Also, our show at Ynot festival 2015 was also a real highlight. The whole tent descended into chaos.
What can the audience expect from you?
A lively and energetic show, with a great set of original songs performed to you with all our passion, meaning and love.
Do you have any rituals before going on stage?
We always make sure to warm up physically and mentally for at least 30 mins to an hour prior to going on stage at any given show.
What does the future look like?
A future filled with Unity, Positivity and Good Music is what we are going to try and help create.
